We connect vocational research and practice

The Swiss Society for Vocational Research and Practice (SGAB) forms a bridge between vocational education and training research and those involved in practice. The main activities of the SGAB are the publication of the online magazine Transfer, the organisation of events and giving out the VET award. The SGAB was founded in 1987 and is active in all parts of Switzerland (annual report).

Board of Directors
The Board of the SGAB is currently made up of 24 people. The members of the association also come from all language regions and represent the following areas: Training companies, vocational schools, vocational training offices, vocational counselling services, professional associations, employee and employer associations, research institutes and researchers at universities, in administration and on a private basis.

Transfer publishes a scientific or journalistically researched article on vocational education and training every week. Subscribe to Transfer free of charge.

 

Conferences

SGAB Vocational Training Prize
Good VET research and its application in practice must be recognised. This is why we have our Vocational Training Award.

The online magazine Transfer is an interesting advertising medium with a clearly defined target audience. Over 5000 people have subscribed to the Transfer newsletter. Media data 2024 incl. contact for an advert.
